Like many areas of southeast Queensland, Logan is subject to severe storms, particularly those involving lightning. Cyclones are more infrequent, but are nevertheless a real threat during the tropical storm season from November to March each year.
Weather warnings issued by the Bureau of Meteorology are listed below and residents are encouraged to tune into 101 FM, 94.9 FM or 612 AM for updates during a weather event.
